MnSGNA Certification and Re-Certification Grant Fund?
What are the
Requirements for Candidates eligible for the MnSGNA Certification/Re-Certification
Grant Fund?

Must be currently
working in the field of Gastroenterology and have an interest in and be
committed to Gastroenterology nursing.

Application must be
typed or neatly printed. The Grant Review Committee has access only to
the application form. It will be processed in an anonymous manner and
the committee will not have access to names. Points will be deducted
for incomplete applications.

Grant may be applied
toward first time exam registration or re-certification by exam or contact
hours.

In the event that a
recipient is unable to take the exam in the year the grant is awarded, the
next runner up will be awarded the grant.

There is no limit to the
number of times that a person may apply for or receive a grant.

Deadline for the exam
is December 15 for Spring certification

Deadline for the exam
is May 15th for Fall certification

All applicants will be
notified by mail by MnSGNA Grant Review Committee of their status regarding
this grant by February 15 and July 15 respectively.

Respecting individual's
right to privacy, recipients of the grant awards will remain confidential.

The

of MnSGNA designates education monies to this fund on a yearly basis for eligible members--
to be used to attend SGNA-affiliated educational offerings.

These
monies are not awarded for licensure or certification fees.
How do I apply?

Scholarships will be approved prior to SGNA-affiliated educational sessions. The monies may only be used toward course tuition, airfare or hotel accommodations. Reimbursement will occur when copies of fee receipts are sent to the MnSGNA treasurer. Proof of course
registration is required along with a brief synopsis of your experience at
the conference to be published in the newsletter.
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible for MnSGNA Scholarship and Regional Grant Fund if...
You are ineligible
if...
you have previously received a MnSGNA scholarship or grant in the last four years. The first year of the four is the calendar year in which you were awarded the scholarship or grant.
